IN BUSINESS 24 YEARS & COUNTING

In 1997, a restaurant owner was having a problem with slippery floors. That restaurant owner was a friend of our Founder and CEO, Michael Foote who went to work to solve his friends problem and the result was the unique anti-slip floor treatment the world now knows as Johnny Grip.

For our first two years in business, we sold Johnny Grip to nearby businesses and individuals. The results were so overwhelming that in 1999 we started selling Johnny Grip on the internet and on television.

Johnny Grip is a hit with success stories pouring in from clients such as McDonalds, AOL, and U.S. Government facilities. The press took notice, too, with coverage in Handyman Magazine among others. We have worked tirelessly to stay ahead of the competition in terms of quality and customer service and as a result, today we are the online leader in non-slip floor treatment. PATRICIA
When you call on the phone or send an e-mail, Patricia is normally who takes care of customer service. She is a founding member of the company is normally very busying keeping things going.
BECCA
Becca works behind the scenes, processing orders and handling shipping logistics, ensuring your orders leave in a timely fashion and arrive as expected. From point A to point B, when shipping is concerned, Becca is there every step of the way.
MICHAEL
Michael runs the production department. He double checks that all products are filled and packaged following our rigorous standards, making sure that we always have plenty of inventory.

There was only one company offering a solution, it was $300 pr gallon and dangerous to work with. Michael’s dad encouraged him to hire a chemist to formulate a better product. Three months later a far better product was developed and Michael named the product after this dad Johnny.

Michael begins designing high quality packaging, with directions based on 3 years of encountering every problem imaginable. Soon, there is an easy-to-use system for the everyday DIY enthusiast. Johnny Grip then becomes the 2nd company to sell an etching treatment on-line in the USA.

Michael’s dad drives him around so he can cold call restaurant owners door to door. It was hard for people to take a 15 yr old kid seriously, even though he had the solution to their problem. Being treated like a “salesman” was trial by fire at a very young age.

As time went on the internet exploded and many other chemical manufacturers decided they wanted their piece of the non-slip industry. Websites were cheap to build and the market was flooded with people offering their own brand of product.
